So today I had three different random people ask me if I was having twins… ????
Let me just say, having actually carried twins, I am SURE you are not as big as I was!! ? ? But, seriously at least when someone asked me that, I could say, yes I am!! The joke was always on them!!
Haha! True! They kind of looked at me a little shocked when I said I still had 2.5 more months!
Oh goodness. ?
The other comment I get…”Oh wow. You have to go the WHOLE summer!” (Yes, thank you for pointing that out because I wasn’t aware of that. ? ?)
I have never been more aware of my feet than when I was pregnant in the summer!! I have one September baby and twin October babies, so yeah, I was pregnant for two Whole. Hot. Humid. Ohio. Summers.
That’s me! Due in September. I feel like I should walk around with a shirt that says: Warning: if you have too much fun staying warm in December, you’ll be very hot and very pregnant in July. ?
LOL
But you know, I decided at the beginning of the summer that I had two choices. I could complain and be miserable the whole summer, or choose to be grateful.
Since I assume you chose the latter, how’s it going?
Pretty good. I have to remind myself that I prayed for this baby, and I have so many friends that are praying for babies with such deep heartache and would love to be in my position.
Allowing myself to really feel and remember the struggle that so many people have with infertility makes me stop and think and be grateful.
It does. Maybe before I complain about whatever is bugging me, I could stop and take a deep breath and remember someone else might give anything to be annoyed with kids, or in your case, managing the heat of summer with your own personal heater growing inside.
Amen to that!
That’s #thetruthaboutsummer ! Shifting attitudes and mindsets and being grateful to God for our blessing and relying on Him more when we struggle!
Yep! When I’m all hot and tired this summer, I’m going to pray for people that are praying for a baby.
